Delivery of Packages
Dear Homeowner,
We have recently been informed by neighbors that packages left at your front door by FedEx, UPS, and the USPS are being stolen. When the perpetrator opens the package and realizes that they do not want the contents they discard of the packages throughout our community. Please be on the lookout for any suspicious activity in our community. If you see a crime in progress please dial 301-474-5454 or 911 to report the incident. For non-emergencies please call the City of Greenbelt’s Police Department at 301-474-7200.
The Greenbelt Police Department has been made aware of the situation and will increase patrols in our neighborhood.
Follow the guidelines below to protect yourself:
- When you order something online always select “Signature Required”
- Do not order something when you know you won’t be in town because the package will sit on your front porch for an extended period alerting people that no one is home.
- Most couriers have a service you can sign up for to deliver updates regarding your package. Visit their websites for more information.
The on-site office will not accept any packages for residents.
